So I was diving yesterday and I had to dive off the three metre board. Three metres is ten feet. That doesn't sound like a lot but to me it is; I have a hellish bad fear of heights and vertigo on top of that (makes ladders a real joy). Standing on the platform was fine. Stepping up on to the board was fine. Walking on the board was alright UNTIL the platform stopped and there was nothing but an inch or so of plastic keeping me from - what? A ten foot fall into a pool? Pah! That's nothing.
I know it's nothing, I know that all that'll happen if I fall off is I'll get wet. That's the annoying thing. Fear of heights may be irrational but fear
